Nicholas Berghem was a Dutch painter. He was born in 1620 at Haarlem and died in 1683 at Amsterdam. He was a pupil of his father, Peter Klaas or Claesz, and also of Van Goyen and the elder Weenix, and resided seven years in Italy. He produced a large number of works, chiefly landscapes with cattle and also a few etched plates.
