Antique Civil War Map CHATTANOOGA Panoramic Views 1890

Superb original large folio sized antique tinted stone lithograph Civil War era panoramic views of Chattanooga and various sections within including Missionary Ridge. These high quality lithographs were created circa 1890 from photographs taken in 1864. Created for and taken from the rare 1890's publication Atlas to Accompany the Offical Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, 1861-1865.

Large folio print with very nice lithographic printing and detail. There is light dampstain at bottom center and starting of separation at center fold, with no loss. This would make a superb and very visually appealing historical piece framed.

Total Image Size approx 27" x 17" - Copyright circa 1890 Government Printing Office, lithographer Julius Bien, New York. Scarce map. Priced very reasonably for a piece of this significance, quality, vintage, and size.

From an extensive collection of 18th and 19th century etchings, engravings, manuscripts and maps.

Due to age, some minor foxing and toning may be present, please view pictures. Image detail as well as full sheet are pictured.

This item was hand picked for its image quality, paper quality, and visual appeal.
