"Charity", a superb high quality antique stipple steel plate engraving on nice heavy paper. Reverse side blank. This fine stipple engraving has a popping 3D effect and is a fine statuary piece for framing.
This is a very fine piece with crisp sharp lines and tones which are impossible to represent quality-wise with digital pictures. Some of my images came out shaded on one side. The paper is of uniform color, which will be the lighter whiter tone rather than the darker half.
Engraved by JH Baker after bas-relief by Sir R. Westmacott. Sheet size approx. 12" x 9". Printed circa 1870, Virtue, London.
Due to age, some minor foxing and toning may be present, please view pictures. Image detail as well as full sheet are pictured.
This item was hand picked for its image quality, paper quality, and visual appeal.
