A rare front page from the early American illustrated paper "Rural Repository", this front page featuring a large illustration (wood engraving) to accompany the front page feature, "Spanish Beggar Boys" - May 18, 1844 issue - Nice crisp images and printing produced on quality white paper (they used to print even newspapers on nice white paper). This was acquired already removed from the remainder of this issue, and is sold as a single page print, with text on front and on verso (Story is complete on front and back - also part of article called "The Slave, or, Martinique in 1720" on verso. A very appealing and charming print.
Printed area size approx. 10" x 7.25". Printed 1844.
