A rare front page from the early American illustrated paper "Rural Repository", this front page featuring a humorous large illustration to accmpany the front page feature, "The Amateur Musical Party" - March 23, 1844 issue - Nice crisp images and printing produced on quality white paper (they used to print even newspapers on nice white paper). This was acquired already removed from the remainder of this issue, and is sold as a single page print, although the story is complete with text on front and on verso. A very appealing and charming print.
